It appears that he'll never race again if he survives. Very sad that a bright young talent is being taken away from the sport. I felt that he had a bright future ahead of him and could've been a champion with Ferrari alongside Seb. Forza Jules, and may your life ahead not be a struggle.

He looks so much like Ayrton in that picture. Fuck it all, this isn't supposed to happen anymore

Damn....
I knew he'd never be able to race again, but I hope that he's one of the few that regain consciousness and some basic motor function.

Reminds me so much of how I felt after watching Dan Wheldon's crash hoping to hear positive news. Sadly we did not get any but hopefully Jules can make it through this and have a normal life.

It was a very particular situation. Had that tractor not been in his car's slide path, the barrier is designed to make that impact highly survivable. He would have most likely walked away from it, albeit wobbly.

I agree with all of that. I made this my facebook profile picture and it's just stunning seeing his eyes in his helmet and how much he and Ayrton look alike from inside the helmet.

This shouldn't have happened... I hope they make some changes after this unfortunate event.

Hardly surprising. The pictures of the car, and today's description of the type of injury sustained in the crash make it all the more impressive that he survived at all.
